Over at the ECP challenge blog, Lisa has set the theme of SNOW for this fortnight and we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Fairy Dust Crafts! Pop over and check out the creations from me fellow team members and maybe try on the theme for yourself!
I've used a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, some stampin' up and crete paper pattern papers, stampin' up felt flowers and sentiment, a leaf punch i got over at Bizzy Becs online store and curved rectangles and oval nestys.
Also a similar colour combo as in my last post if you have time to take a peek. I'm also entering it over at CPS #193 as I used the sketch as the template for my card.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you all have a fabulous and creative weekend! I'm using tomorrow to try and get a little more organised... wish me luck lol xx
Sad to say it has been more than a week since my last post :( Well what can i say... Life has been busy!
Aimee's birthday is tomorrow! My baby is turning 6! Where does the time go? I decided to combine Kazan's awesome sketch from 2S4Y with the pretty colour combo #33 from Kim at OTWC. Pleased with the result!
The pattern paper, ribbon, felt flowers and sentiment all come from stampin' up.
The leaf punch I got at Bizzy Becs online store, butterfly punch is martha stewart, lables 4 nesty and also some cotton twine from my stash and silver rhinestones are kaisercraft :) oh and my corner rounder.
I've got another card using a very similar colour combo, please pop back tomorrow to see it!
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll leave you with a photo of Aimee and a ladybird, and one of Charlotte after playing out in the paddle pool last week xx
I have two cards to share this evening, the first follows sketch #63 from Get Sketchy, combined with the gorgeous colour combo over at The Stamp Spot November Challenges! I used some festive Basic Grey paper for this one, and a felt flower that comes from stampin' up.
I also did some stitching around the boarder but it hasn't showed up very well, and it wasn't the right kind of thread, it kept breaking while i was sewing... very frustrating lol.
The Second one is inspired by the card sketch also in The Stamp Spot November challenges... I used some funky cosmo cricket paper from the togetherness range for this one... really stepped out of my comfort zone with the colours, and very pleased with the result.
Ok that's it for me, going to cut up some calico and do some sewing this evening, my John is snoozing on the couch, he spent 3 hrs driving to hand therapy today and then 3 hours back again. I had a few errands to run in town, so it's been a busy day all round.
Please check out the challenges I'm entering, they have great prizes up for grabs, so go get crafty!!
Hi! Just a quick post from me this morning, I have a house to clean before John's parents come out to mind our kids so we can go to a neighbours birthday party this evening.
First up I'll share my DT card for the ~RED~ Challenge over at ECP challenge blog this fortnight, and I've used Kazan's fabulous sketch #65. I'm pretty sure this lovely paper is October afternoon, and the sentiment is stampin' up.
Here are some cards for my share over at The Stamp Spot, 3 quick and easy Christmas cards...
Today I'm sharing a card I made based on Kazan's fabulous sketch 63 over at 2S4YandColour Throwdown #114. I've used some lovely new October Afternoon paper I purchased from The Stamp Spot online store, and a new sentiment stamp set and old olive ribbon from stampin' up. Nothing like something new to inspire creativity!
Well I really need to go and defrost something for dinner... so happy it's the weekend!
This morning I have some DT work to share with you. The new challenge this fortnight over at ECP is
Here in Australia we don't celebrate Halloween so I have no supplies and wasn't quite sure what to make.
I found inspiration when my daughter brought home a party bag filled with lollies, and after she tore the bag open we had to find something else to put them in.
Then I spied a pillow box I had made for Christmas last year and thought I could make new one!
So here is what I came up with:
All supplies besides the button and rhinestones come from stampin' up, and I also used a labels 4 nesty.
I tried to use halloweenish colours (if there is such a thing) and I'm sure Aimee will be happy with the result! And I'd love to know what you all think!
On the family side of things, we're heading back down to the hospital tomorrow to keep John company, he is allowed out in the afternoons as long as he takes it easy and keeps his hand elevated. We have done so much driving back and forth these last few weeks, it will be nice to fall back into some sort of routine once he gets home. Fingers crossed he is discharged on Sunday.
Well thanks for stopping by, and if you celebrate halloween (and maybe even if you don't!) I hope you can play along with us over at the ECP challenge blog this fortnight!
Those rhinestones are more of a goldy orange colour, the camera picked up the colour funny they sorta look lime in the photo.
Fabulous sketch, may have to save it in my go-to folder for when I'm lacking motivation.
My John is back in hospital... 2 more operations on his hand this week. Hoping he will be home before the weekend, it's our first wedding anniversary on Sunday... which reminds me I still have to make him a card!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your week! Take care (especially when mowing the lawns!!) xx
Over at ECP Challenge blog the new challenge is PURPLE! I love purple although I don't have a huge amount of purple things in my stash... so I kept it fairly simple with purple card stock and teamed it up with some ribbon, a rose, rhinestones and a labels 4 nesty. Christmas sentiment and Martha Stewart stars border punch and it is complete :) And our fabulous sponsor is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More !
We've had such a busy week at our house... well we haven't been here for most of it. John had an accident with the lawnmower on Monday after work so he spent a few days in a hospital 3 hours away, as he needed plastic surgery on his right hand, so I stayed down in a motel with Ella :( the nights were a bit lonely but it just makes me appreciate how much I love being at home with my family I guess. Aimee and Charlotte spent some time with John's parents (who are just amazing). I look forward to getting back into some sort of routine soon! But I do have a huge pile of washing waiting for me and some sleep to catch up on also.
Don't forget to link up your purple creations over at the ECP blog for a chance to win! Check out the ECP challenge blog for all the details!
Thanks for stopping by my little blog I do appreciate the time to take to visit :)
If you like to play along with sketch challenges you still have a couple more days to join in with us for Challenge #20 over at ECP Challenge blogusing this fun sketch!
Our sponsor is Sassy Studios, they are offering the winner 4 digi images of their choice!
I'll be back on the weekend with my new DT project, it's going to be another fun challenge!
Hope to see you there, thanks for stopping by today, and please see my last post for a photo of my beautiful (new) baby girl Ella. I'm planning on getting a few more over the weekend of all 3 of my beautiful girls :) and maybe even one of John if he will let me :)
On August 29th at 2.36pm we welcomed beautiful little Ella Lorraine into the world. She is doing very well! Born with a little bit of dark hair and a great set of lungs! Aimee and Charlotte just adore her. She is even letting Mum and Dad get a few hours sleep!
Also I have drawn the winner of my little candy :)
If nothing happens over the weekend I will be induced bright and early Monday morning, so the wait is almost over!
Today I have a card to share based on Laura's fabulous sketch over at 2Sketches4You blog (the winner this week gets a guest designer spot on the team!!)
and the brand new colour plus squares challenge open until 9th Sep over at Embellish Magazine who are being sponsored by inchie arts.
I thought it would be perfect for a funky 21st birthday card as soon as I saw it pop up in my inbox!
I've also got my DT card for ECP challenges in another post and would love for you to check it out :) and if you haven't already seen, I have a little blog candy open at the moment, find the link just below my blog title.
Well thanks for stopping by, I do hope you all have a wonderful and creative weekend! Take care xx
Pop over to the ECP Challenge blog to link up your fabulous creations and check out what the other designers created following this sketch!!
here is what I came up with!
Once again I used the fab digi dress from Sassy Studios, you can find it in the accessory link in the store, and at only $1 it is a must-have!
I started with a top fold 6x4 kraft base, and then I printed out the dress on white card and ran it thru my big kick with a labels 4 nesty. Then I printed it out on some old old old retired stampin' up paper, trimmed around the dress and glued it on top! I used some blue ribbed ribbon to match the pattern paper, layered some paper flowers from kaisercraft and the leaves are a new punch I ordered from Bizzy Becs online store.
Once again I've got this post scheduled just in case I'm not around. I'm hoping I won't be! We are still waiting on this baby... and we're already a week over the due date! Well I guess we're only getting closer!
Please check out my blog candy while you're here, it's open until the 31st.
Have a fabulous and creative weekend friends! take care xxxx
Hi all, if you are interested in applying for a DT spot and you love a colour challenge then this may be something for you! Check out the DT call for the Colour Dare blog here! Applications close on August 31st! Goodluck to all those who apply xx
Good afternoon, still no sign of this baby wanting to come out anytime soon... but I will share a photo of my huge tummy @ 39 weeks with you! I remember thinking at the 6 month mark, I can't possibly get any bigger... and 3 months later I most definately have!!
And I also have a card to share that I just whipped up, combining the ABC challenge over at Raise the Bar (pop to the blog to check out the details and the fab work from the DT!)
and this wonderful CAS sketch #180 from CPS... my kind of sketch! The DT have some fantastic samples to share with you too so pop over and check them out!
I started with a kraft base, then used some scraps of paper for the bird and the strips, labels 4 nesty and whisper white card, button and rhinestones from my stash, and the sentiment is from the best yet stampin' up set which is on the last chance list! I can't wait to see the new catalog!
Can't sit for too long or I get all sore so this is my kind of card atm, quick and easy! And super happy with how it turned out! It's going into a large envelope that I will be posting of to Tracey in a couple of months, I saw a write up on her blog where you can donate blank Christmas cards to be sent to our Aussie and NZ troops abroad, I thought if I can get 2 or 3 done a week then I will have a nice little lot to send out! If you're an Aussie or NZ and this is something that insterests you please pop over to Traceys blog and get in contact with her for all the details!!
Hope you're all having a wonderful start to the week and please check out my blog candy that is open until the end of August, there is a link to the post just below my blog title xx
I have no school run today since Aimee is having a play date at a friends, and Charlotte is still napping. John will be home late so I decided I could put the housework off a little longer and make a card :)
This one is a Z-fold card... something I have never tried before! I got the directions from the link at Crafty Creations Challenge #80 and the theme is winged things. They are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps, and the current challenge is open until Wednesday!
I found my colour inspiration from the fabulous Colour Q Challenge #45, link your colour creations up by Sunday the 15th August!
Here is what I came up with!
Loving these lable 4 nestys, all the cardstock and green paper is stampin up, as is the sentiment and the butterfly punch. Buttons and rhinestones are from my DT pack for the Stamp Spot online store. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, and will add it to the collection for Jewlz store, she asked me for some bright coloured birthday cards and this fits the description!
Thanks for stopping by, and please pop back tomorrow to see my DT card for ECP Challenges, we have a fab new sponsor and an easy peasy challenge!! Can't wait to share my card with you!!
